I would like to see more about installing the product and how to deal with difficult situations. What options and/or components are available. And how to deal with temperature change and be able to hide the gaps.

A very good presentation of the types of Trex available. However, what I'd hoped to hear was 1) just how long the colors of Trex boarding look like new (since UVA & UVB blanches the color of everything) and 2) if there's any treatment compound which can be used to return long exposed Trex back to it's original color as carbonate will not naturally absorb stains into it's grain such as real wood does. I'd really appreciate knowing these issues. Thanks much!

Thanks for going through the differences in the Trex line-up, and completely agree on the name. For the most part the names are almost worthless.

Great show, fun time and learned a lot. Recommend using joist tape or not

I work at the ProDesk at a 'Big Box' store, and our Trex guy told us the new line requires a 12" joist center. That's what I've been passing onto the Pros and DIYers when they order the Enhance (Basic or Naturals line).

From the US here, in north central Ohio. Nice video guys. We are trying to figure out how to build a new deck. Debating on composite vs wood. We had wood and tore it out for a water repair. It was in bed shape anyway. My number one concern is how slippery the composite may be when wet or slippery from cold in winter. I love the new composite colors in enhanced naturals. Foggy Warf or Rocky Harbor. But the wood was constantly needing updates, cleaning, etc. It would get green film and slippery. I had fallen on the stairs and broke my ankle a year ago in January. Bad break. So you see my dilemma and concern. Is there any composite with a non or less slippery surface? Thanks for all the information.

Great show! The new naturals colors are nice. I think people will always gravitate more towards the solid profile board if they are side by side

I want to buy rocky harbor but it’s only a one star on scratches
Do I need to worry? Vs the high end ?

Comparing Trex Transcend (probably earth tones) vs. TimberTech/Azec Harvest. We are installing this deck around a pool and are wondering how much more slip resistant Harvest is than Transcend. What would you recommend? Thanks.

Great show, and lots of nice info.. What are the options on grooved vs solid boards for picture framing?

Have you installed any coastal bluff since recording this? How has coastal bluff proven to hold up-especially with fading and scratching? Considering it or spiced rum and with the price difference would love to hear your thoughts.

Can you comment on any preference between fully capped and partial capped boards? Heard mixed thoughts on whether it’s more important for more protection or to allow the core to breath.

great episode! I wish you guys could shed some lights, comments on a company called Leadvision, they are in Quebec but their composite decking is made in china. They sell in Rona about $3, $2.5 on sale, but I couldn't find any review on them anywhere, wonder if you guys heard of this company or what do you think, many thanks.

Quality and durability wise what is the difference between select and enhance? Why is Transcend more better? Is quality that much better? Don’t understand the pricing?
