I saw this so I bought the cable and I'm doing it on a 2021 dodge ram 3500 cab chasis and I'm using my autel maxisys ultra (the top of the line tool and I get to the topology but when I try to scan, the app stops when I get past ecm scan. It was doing this before as well.

So I’m working on 2020 2500 right now trying to do a regen on it and keeps saying unable to communicate with the control unit and i can read the codes and erase them but won’t let me do regen or stationary desoot? Also i have the autel MK808BT Pro

I work in my own vehicles but just have a very basic scan tool. Can I use a basic code reader with the under dash OBD2 port?

There are other videos that show another location behind the head light switch that you can connect the 12+8. Do both location work the same?

I have the adapter connected but I get an error code saying the network is error, please check the network is fine, error code:[10010] any tips?

It looks like you may also be using an Autel MS906BT. If so, did you need to register for an AutoAuth subscription in order to get the scan tool to communicate with the Ram?
