Many thanks for that sleeve trick. I used my hand sledge with a demo bar today to flatten that center sleeve crimp and it saved my day. Much appreciated.

How can you fix a bent post on a chain link

Hello,
I’d like to ask for your advice. I have a fence with 19 terminal posts in a straight line. The terminal posts are 2-3/8” inches and 6ft tall above the ground. They are embedded 24 inches down in concrete. Approximately 15 of these posts are not plumb. They are slightly not level. Approximately 5 degrees off. I have a top rail going. I have also a top rail bar that is tension banded between all of these posts. My worry is that over time the terminal posts will continue to tilt. Should I correct them now or is it not worth the effort? What kind of lifespan can I expect if they are going to continue to tilt? Thank you in advanced.

Where can I purchase the "slip sleeves"? And are they available in different pole diameters?

You should have never shown how you did your magic trick. :-). I’m sure you just saved many professional home owners a new cool trick. Thanks for showing your trade secret.

Someone cut my fence & burglarized my house. They made a mess of my fence. This tip will help repair the fence. Thank you!

What if the top pole diameter is bigger then the replacement?

Not much of a magic trick. Yes it does work but looks like crap. I'm not sure I'd want to pay you for this job. Much better is a 1 foot or so of 1-1/2 inch pipe inside (assuming the pipe is 1-5/8) Then center punch 4 areas of the long pipe on each side of the splice so it's snug. You could also apply a little glue to the inside, but it's really not needed.
