I Spent 100 Days in the Extreme Desert in Rimworld

Join me for an intense survival journey in RimWorld's Extreme Desert, where I spent 100 challenging days battling the scorching heat. This multi-part series kicks off with us starting from scratch in the warmest biome, where temperatures can soar above 50 degrees Celsius. Throughout this series, we'll face the daunting task of building a sustainable colony, managing scarce resources, and ensuring our survival against all odds. I'm tackling this on the hardest difficulty setting. Will we be able to adapt and thrive in these extreme conditions, or will the harsh desert claim our hopes? This was played on Rimworld 1.5 with the Royalty, Ideology, Biotech and Anomaly DLC enabled. The difficulty is naked brutality with the losing is fun preset on 500% threat with the Randy Random storyteller. This is how I Spent 100 Days in the Extreme Desert in Rimworld.

With all these hours in Rimworld you must be a master at _Rimming_

I saw one modpack on Steam where you start with 0 technology and have to learn how to build a litteral campfire and slowly extend to planting, crafting wooden clubs and researching culture to finally get some useful stuff :)

Hidden power cable (the one that costs 2 steel) never causes zzzt event so even though they cost double, they are very good investment

I liked the part when he said "its rimming time" and then he rimmed everybody.

16:45 is the same pig that landed a few minutes into the video. The one VQ stole the clothes off of before exiting to escape the heat wave

When you get a desert heat wave, you can just build a door under a mountain and it "should" be more tolerable. A good duster and cowboy hat helps too, quality and materials used affect that a lot tho. (I had a pawn equipped with a MW duster and LEG hat and the could be comfortable in 75°C indefinitely.)

Always learn something new about playing the game whenever I tune into these.

Hey man new challenge for the future. Try to do basic but you care about pawns and try to role play a bit ( like you help your raiders at first and be a nice guy ).
