Flex Test! - Lada vs. Jeep vs. UAZ vs. Hummer vs. Unimog

Hey Guys!
So! This was supposed to be a test of our different 4x4's, to see who would make it the furthest. however, most of them made it all the way, so i guess we can just call it a comparison?

We had already made this track to test our newly finished UAZ. but that got us wondering how others would do. so we went through it with every running 4x4 we had on the lot that day.

The track was restored after every pass, to keep things a bit fair.

These trucks are all quite different, and do different tasks in life, so this vid is not supposed to conclude that one thing is better than the other.

That Lada's performance was really impressive!

The UAZ, the Unimog and the Lada Niva 4x4 are serious offroad vehicles. Forget the rest. P.S. whoever designed the Lada was a genius!

And to think that the Lada was stock. With a lift kit and bigger tires, and a few mods to the differentials it becomes a monster, and is still cheaper than the Jeep.

Lada is certainly valiant.... that UAZ is a beast! Hummer is nice to get around the town in winter.

Hm, das limited slip Diff im Jeep ist ja mehr am slippen als am locken. Das macht ja gar nichts. Sicher, daß das da in Ordnung ist?

the jeep disapointed me, that uaz was obviously the best, and the unimog did really well also. the lada niva was spinning wheels a little bit, but the passanabless is simillar to the hummer, the unimog was nice suprise, considering its huge weight, and nasty suprise, when the entire truck turned sideways:-)) great video:-))

Watching the jeep and hummer was just embarrassing- I’ve had 3 Niva’s and love them. I hope to get a UAZ one day

Not only did the UNIMOG walk over the holes it did it On a trot,
Awesome vehicle.
As Ex-firefighter we had one as a Rescue vehicle, A very capable in any environment, Thick bush.. soft beach sand unstoppable.

We recovered A Hydraulic Platform ( Aerial appliance)
with it, towed weight in excess of 20tons.

looking at the scarcity and price, niva looks the best, by the way, where did you got a niva without diff-lock?

Wheel diameter makes some difference but the course favors shorter, lighter vehicles.

I bet the unimog would flex a lot better with a load in the back, it was quite springy right after lifting that rear tire, didn't fully flex that frame.
