One of the first things I learnt when I started out many years ago was how to float up a wall.One of the best lessons I learned.It amazes me now how many so called plasterers now simply can’t float.Dot and dab is fab but like you say it’s not practical for every job.Classy work as always

Is that hard wall coat you use first . Reason I ask is a brick wall in my kitchen was sand cement render . I didn't have to chip it off, it more or less fell off when I pulled on it . It was about 18mm thick . Should I PVA the wall, bonding coat, then multi finish ? Good vid btw . So pleased the owners were happy .👍

is it ok to mix thistle hardwall & bonding plaster together - in equal amounts - and then apply to pva'd brickwork???

Nice video Eric. Did you skim straight onto the Bonding whilst it was still wet?

I’m going to try this method with regard to the 2nd coat…. Less hassle of doing a new mix… One question though….does the mix go off like a rocket when you add water to it ?

Using a plastic speedskim at that stage with water will guarantee u tiger stripes if the light hits the wall

I think it would be more professional if you put some more clothes on for a days work. I understand it’s comfortable but if you were in my house I’d be thinking why hasn’t he got properly dressed?
