Why do Germans care who is President of a country they don't live in? We certainly don't care who is Prime Minister of any other Country. Who we elect is our problem, who you elect is yours. I can't think why this would be an appropriate topic for "Easy German" learners.

It was British, American, and Russian nationalism that defeated the National Socialist. There’s nothing fascist about valuing the nation state and loving your country. Nor does patriotism mean an ignorance of historical wrong doings. Trump’s world view is literally more progressive than 1940s Americana that stormed Berlin. You can’t label everything thing or anyone as racist who disagrees with modern progressive ethos like old church ladies calling out sin. It’s stupid.

I watch Easy German to keep up with German conversation and daily life in Berlin. One thing I’ve noticed is that Cari has a definite bias against America. I like and respect and would love to have a beer with Janusz. Janusz grew up in Poland and appreciates that western culture offers more freedom and opportunity than where he comes from. In the Easy German episode where they are visiting the United States a good part of the episode was spent criticizing America, and Cari could not believe that Janusz has nothing negative to say about America. Cari kept trying to bait him to say something critical, and he still had nothing to criticize. When that didn’t work she tried with Donald Trump. He basically said that is an outlier issue and does not represent what he feels what America is, (good for you Janusz). Germans criticizing the political situation in America reminds me of the expression of people who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
Please stick to everyday topics about Berlin, or Germany. Janusz you are a good person.

I notice alot in the vids native german speakers leave out the "e" at the end of a first person verb eg "ich glaube but they say ich glaub' " is this just spoken language been shortened ?

I already thought when this video was published: 'here we go again with hate comments'. Btw I'm living in Germany in Dresden(home of Pegida) for 1 month now and I find most Germans are nice, normal and unprejudiced. The video was just people's opinions not hatred. I see hatred only in comments.
I hope whatever happens in America doesn't influence Germany directly.

I am disappointed that you think conservatives should not be allowed to vote and that all of the people can only vote for one candidate. That is a dictatorship.

I am conservative, and I am not a grandma. My grandmothers are both liberal. (Also, most Americans don't own a passport.)

Your video is biased; it would be more fair if you made one about the opposing candidate.

But there is a third-party choice, which is Johnson. Many conservative are willing to give their vote to him, because they don't like Trump or Clinton.
