Cataclysm Classic - How In Demand Will Your Class Be?

With Cata Classic expected to launch early summer, I wanted to make a start on the class related content.
Today we are doing an overview of how in demand each class and spec should be.
Of course things are subject to change, and we won't know for sure what will be best until the game has launched - either way treat this an some early impressions of what to expect and let me know what experience you have from Cata in the comments!

Gave your channel a break for a few months but it was good to be back to give the cata stuff a peek - my serious playing days ended with the end of wrath back in the day so I'm cautiously optimistic about this (pally main as well this time around so it's gonna be a new world with holy power), great coverage as usual!

the thing with feral and why paragon stacked them was actually a bug where all ferals where able to stack up their dots for each other. thats why the dot damage was so incredible high.

shadow priest is actually exceptionally good in several single target fights aswell. especially those that give haste and/or crit buffs like alysrazor or majodormus in firelands additonally to the multi target fights. especially the off heal with its cooldown is incredible valueable.

I played healing druid at the time and was the one of my guild designated to get Tarecgosa legendary staff, it was awesome 😊

Great video! Love the content. I just want to put this out there. While there is a meta to the game and some classes do bring more to the table than other. What WoW needs the most is people willing to lean the mechanics and be able to be an effective raid lead, and organizer. Everything else falls apart without the one or more people putting these groups together.

For boomy, its actually much more fun where you want to plan out Eclipses, certain fights you will want to sit in Solar Eclipse and spam Sunfire on adds/dotting fights

Cata's difficulty and RBGs killed so many guilds. I loved it. I even farmed the stupid mounts in tol barad. The only lastingly bad idea in cata was lfr right at the end.

It was a cool expansion and I actually have more max level fond memories than from wotlk or tbc.

It was the start of the decline only from a trendsetting viewpoint with modernisation.

writing this before watching the vid. i noticed a lot of people started leveling an arms warri on my server... this is also one of the two classes that usually show up when you google something like "what is the best dps class in cata"... its gonna be a hard awakening for a lot of people once they realise its not as easy as playing an hunter lmao

Holy paladins mastery in cata applies a shield for 10%(maybe 15, don't remember the exact base number) of amount healed, or am i missing something ?

I was mt as prot warrior and did manage just fine back in the days. And will play prot now aswell.

prot pallys will definately be highly looked after due to the utility and the raidwide mitigation.
also a pro tip for all the blood dks in cata: keep your hands onto your sindragosa trinket. paired with the res trinket from tol barad you can cheese baloroc in firelands and tank him solo which is only possible for blood dks and only with those 2 trinkets.
