First time seeing these vultures and I must say that to me, they're beautiful and very interesting. I already knew that their feet are not used to kill because their beaks are basically just for eating a carcass. The bird plays a huge part in wildlife. They are called the cleanup crew. Not a bit ugly at all. Every animal serves a purpose in what we call conservation. Yep, they go after the dead because it's easiest. I love vultures and their place in our world. Incredible!!!!

Wonderful, interesting, informative video, but when it got to Sudan the white rhino I couldn't hold back the tears. If it weren't for the love and care of his keepers, I believe he would already be dead. They are their guardian angels 👼👼

The last white rhino of his kind that is to old to breed, they did say something about freezing sperm. They have been using frozen sperm in cows, dogs and many other animals for over 25 years. If he is the last one, he can be collected from at least every 2 weeks, so why not do it before he passes away??? 1 collection of sperm can inseminate maybe 10 or 20 females producing young. So just 1 frozen collection could bring the breed back.

My cat bond tested me a few days after I brought him home from the rescue centre. As I was sitting on the edge of my bed, facing him, with him sitting on the arm of the armchair a foot or so away. He stretched out his head towards me and closed his teeth gently on my nose. From then onwards he made the place his own, no further anxiety or worry about me.

I've not encountered it with any other animal I've had, but it is a trust exercise, he was an unusually smart cat though, generally speaking and an absolute master hunter lol. Brains and brawn, and a huge amount of affection and love. I'm honoured to have known him, he was more than a pet, more than a cat even lol. He'd do tricks like paw, if he was in the mood, he had a vocalisation approximating the word "out", when he wanted to go outside and he'd prick a hole in bricks of longlife UHT milk but never in the bricks of orange juice that were stacked with them, despite the branding, logos and design being identical supermarket basic line, with the only difference being the text. One said orange juice, the other skimmed milk. When he had dietary issues and wasn't given milk anymore, he stopped pricking holes in the cartons lol. Instead he'd turn the hot kitchen tap on to a trickle and drink from that instead. He wouldn't drink from a water bowl unless it was freshly drawn warm water. Until we got a cat fountain, he was pretty happy with that his last couple of years.

He just had a ton of personality and smarts and despite being the epitome of a notch eared, scarred eyebrows, tomcat, in his retirement years he was a big soppy bugger, when he wasn't running my ma ragged with his demands - demands he knew better than to make of me lol, I'd draw him warm water to drink, but I didn't jump through all the other hoops he had my ma jumping through. In retrospect it would appear he trained his human, his primary caregiver at least, once I had moved out. I won't get any more cats though, most are just animals in my experience and I couldn't follow him with a dumb animal. I'm all about the animals with one of a kind personalities, and you don't stumble over them too often unless you have a huge menagerie lol. Once covid is out of the way I'll be keeping my eyes out for either a gloriously goofy dog or a razor sharp one, breed is less important to me than personality, I miss the days when 90% of dogs were just random mutts, you got a lot more interesting animals then, it seems, looking back.

Angry and sad about the poaching to extinction of the majestic rhino. There should be a death penalty for the poachers!
