When a crow dies, the rest of the murder (a flock of crows) will actually set up a crime scene to figure out the cause of death

In Australia, animals that eat toads are poisoned and die, but crows have figured out that flipping a toad on it's back to eat from it's stomach avoids the poison glands!

Crows should’ve been higher up the list man! This one time I threw a pebble at a crow and from that day onwards there’s always bird shit on my car! Smart sob

What a difference three years make. Yes, crows in general are intelligent, but in 2018 scientists discovered that New Caledonian crows don't just USE tools, they can CRAFT tools by combining two or more otherwise non-functional elements. As it stands today, this ability has only been observed in humans, great apes, and the New Caledonian crow.

Octopus should be on the main list. They are unbelievably smart!

Crows are INCREDIBLY intelligent. I had a long-standing friendship with one who would commonly meet up with me at the park and follow me around. Really awesome birds who are definitely making their way up the evolutionary ladder.

When the racoon runs on its hind legs, it looks like a robber with sagged pants trying to run.

I've had rats for years, 15 in total, and every single one had their own distinct personality and every single one responded when called by name ^_^

Did you guys know that an octopus will use its tentacles to measure to width of a whole to see if it can squeeze through? The only thing the octopus cannot compress is the cartilage between its eyes, like the cartilage in our noses. It also figured that it could not take a crab out of a bottle, so it squeezed inside and ate the crab, digested it, and then left the bottle. Such a fascinating creature.

I used to have several pet rats. They are very smart. They could recognize their names and would come when called. I only kept them in their cages when I was at work. Otherwise, they had free run of the place. One particular rat named Ozzy would sit on the dining room chair and watch me cook every day. He knew that some of what I was making was for their dinner. Usually just fruit and vegetables, fish, sometimes a baked sweet potato with little marshmallows. They loved that.
It's sad that their lives are so short.
