They cured blindness? #shorts

By only reporting HALF the news in a sensational way, certain people are giving false hope to the blind community that blindness has been cured. This is unfortunately not true. If it were though, how much would my life change?

Very random this but on september 9 a few days ago I fell on the driving road and got drove over by a car and was in the hospital for two weeks. Now I'm home laying on a special bed and I still cant walk or stand. But you give me power and motivation to go on!!😊 Thanks a lot!!

A lot of people don't seem to think the same way, but from where I'm standing you're living your best life. You seem to have come to terms with your blindness and made the best of it, you do things I used to think were impossible to do without sight, you're arguably one of the best voice actors of our era (can't forget Morgan Freeman of course lol), you consistently try new things most of which are extremely athletic and skill based, I mean hell you're even engaged!

As someone with fully functional eyes I can only hope to be half as accomplished as you are, keep it up Pete!

And if they ever do find a way to cure your blindness I'm almost certain that this community would raise money to pay for it.

My adult kid is legally blind and has been since birth. Wish I had a dime for every time someone asked if I’d taken him to an eye doctor, or why didn’t he wear glasses, or, you know, they can fix anything with surgery! Anything but ignorance.

I’m legally blind from damage to the optic nerves and brain. I don’t think a pig eye can fix that 😅.

Personally I find the you need to be cured thing really toxic too.

I went to this school once, had a sub make us watch a documentary about someone saying “you can prevent cancer by what you eat.” I was born with cancer, my mother ate everything the doctors said to and stuff, and I’ll make it clear I was not deciding to eat something else either.
