I bought a used 8" Dob this summer to use with family. It has been a lot of fun observing the Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn so far. Mars just looked like an orange star. Looking forward to learning to find and observe objects like the ring nebula. Thanks for the content :)

Nice Comparisons! I don't see much difference except for the Colors and The Central Star more Resolved in the 12!

I also possess a 12-inch Dobsonian telescope mounted on an equatorial platform, and I've similarly captured images of M57. Interestingly, the colors present in my images are consistent with those in your 12-inch version. However, I'm puzzled as to why the 8-inch rendition appears blue while the 12-inch one exhibits a green hue. This color distinction is even mirrored in Stellarium. Consequently, I find myself somewhat perplexed regarding the object's true color.
