Being a Marketing Designer - What is it, and how do you do it well?

Marketing design is not a job I ever heard of until I stumbled across a job listing one day when a friend was referring me for a design job at a tech company. It turns out, it's the perfect job for me! In this video I explain what it means to be a marketing designer and the skills and traits it takes to do a good job. I hope you enjoy it! This sounds so similar to what I've been studying and doing in PR and Communication internships, only you come in at the 'design' angle and I come in at the 'written/storytelling' angle! Sometimes I wish I'd done a design major or minor or something because I feel like it would be so useful and your job sounds awesome!

Thank you for showing that marketing designers do cool things. The freelancers and agency designers alway seem to get to carry the "cool" card. But there's generally better job security in marketing design, and a lot of great opportunities. I got to go to Europe for one of my marketing design in-house gigs, for example.
