Even though I've been dancing tango for 13 years I haven't had tango music & tango musicality (3 styles) explained so helpfully this way. Thankyou- it's another great tool to have as a tanguera.

Thank you very much. Dancing is moving with the music. Tempo or speed is the easiest to understand. 3 beats like waltzes versus 4 beats are easy to discern as well. Accents requires attention as it gives character to the piece. Overall feel for the music is the most difficult to teach as feelings vary from person to person. On top of that, tango basic figures. Tango is very challenging dance to learn, lead or follow.

Thank you for this video.
I am learning to dance to the music, and notice different styles if music. Did not know the names of the styles.
I can dance the first and the last style of music and dancing. The second one is too fast for me to do. I have only 4 1/2 years for learning Tango dancing, and have a limited amount of dance moves that I can do due to limited agility and mobility that my body and legs can move. Do not ask me to do Sacadas, Paradas and other of these type of timing dance moves....coordination is not there. I have tried them many times....tired of hitting and kicking women's feet.( I do not think they like it either....lol.)

Didn't you dance the second example using the Salon style, as well? The first was clearly milonguero. Anyway, you dance beautifully.
