the gigabyte software is actually such a gigantic security flaw that it is wild that windows even lets you install it. a kernel mode driver that grants unrestricted access to a low level bus without any level of verification or signing.

Couldn’t help but notice that Corsair wasn’t on that list of manufacturers….

RGB Fusion is hilariously bad even for RGB software. This would be a nice solution

open rgb is amazing. Having built in rgb control in windows would be pretty cool though

If it works, it'll be nice to have one less piece of malware needed. You've still got windows itself, but hard to get rid of that for most people.

I hate having to regularly set my RGB settings to "off".

I've discovered that by a complete accident both my keyboard (Razer Ornata) and mouse (Microsoft Pro IntelliMouse) are on the short list of supported devices!

I had to download four of these programs just so I could flip a toggle to turn them off. lol

Situation: There are 14 different RGB softwares.
Microsoft: Ridiculous! We need one universal RGB software!

When I built my PC after 20 years since the last time, I built a ZERO RGB one, or as much as possible. It was COVID and as such, had to go with some parts that were readily available, like the GPU and Power Supply has RGB, but you never see the Power Supply's and the PNY 3090 I got can turn that off. THOUGH, it is where I learned there's a NON-RGB premium. Similar to Non-Smart Appliance premium nowadays.

I mean... M$ doesn't have the best track record either. I wouldn't assume this will solve the RGB software woes. May just be an instance of "you were supposed to defeat them, not join them."

All rgb needs to be in one software. Please. We're dying out here

It would be sick to have this working with wallpaper engine

This is great - OpenRGB would likely benefit from this as well, meaning that support on Linux would get better too.

Wait. So there's now a single spot in Windows where I can turn off all of those stupid LED lights? This has made my day.

All I want from RBG is the ability to turn it off

I observed a noticeable loss in brightness on my keyboard backlight, but couldn't figure out the cause at first.
Turned out that it was Windows 11 and this feature, that added support for my Logitech model. After disabling Dynamic Lighting I finally got my full brightness back.
