I've seen all of the episodes. It was not just about street food, it was about the people, their resilience, love for their craft and the will to leave a good legacy. I cried a hundred times! Kudos to everyone who worked hard on this documentary.

After watching all the episodes, I can say the episodes from the Philippines and Indonesia are just some of the most beautifully made documentaries I have ever watched. The lolo reminds me so much of my grandpa. Thank you Netflix x

Mbah satinem's story is very sad, but she lives happily now. Best ep of the series. Do more eps for indonesia's foods, gudeg, jajan pasar, bakso are just tip of the iceberg

Episode 4 from Indonesia is the best for me. I literally cried. Also, the Osaka one teaches you many life lessons.

I love to travel, not travel you may think like goin abroad. Just goin around my neighbourhood. Looking for _a hidden gem_ like local street foods. They hold the authenticity of the culinary heritage. Some even hold until more than 5 generations and still goin for more, and they still hold their tradition.
And luckily, I stayed in Bandung, Indonesia 🇮🇩 there are lots of street foods around that maybe even for 10 years ahead, even I spend each day to taste each food won't be enough. There's so much to choose. In every corner of the street, back alleys, sometimes inside of a common house, that you won't recognise they sell food if you don't ask. They served the food with different time of the day. Some sell at the morning, some start after the work hours. And most of them sell at the night time, where people already get leisure at looking for dinner, or midnight food, to eat and hang out at the outside or take away.
And Netflix, thank you to create this video, it help them to introduce their foods for a marketplace at bigger scale.
👏😊

Everybody complains, that they missed some places/countries. "Chef's Table" got 5 seasons, so Im pretty sure that "Street food" will include other countries in next seasons :D

I have watched all of them. I'm Vietnamese and to me, the Vietnam episode was good enough but I would say the Indonesia episode is the most heartwarming and tear-jerking. A daughter, a wide, a mother, then a grandmother and most importantly, a preservationist of culinary heritage was beautifully depicted.

I love Toyo from Osaka, Japan (Episode Two). His whole outlook on life is wonderful and charming as hell. "Be the head of a chicken, not the tail of a bull"
