I think it's actually well-made shlock. The story and the pacing are surprisingly solid. They meshed both mythologies almost seemlessly.

Freddy vs Jason is one of the most underrated horror movies and was a perfect way to end Robert Englund run as Freddy Kruger (who is my personal favorite horror character of all time).

What a FUN movie. I think a lot of people forget the fun aspect when it comes to some of these horror flicks!

This movie was a lot better than what I thought it was going to be, always reminds me of Frankenstein meets The Wolfman.

I was legitimately surprised that this movie actually had a somewhat cohesive and entertaining plot.

Rare gem for the 90s-early 2000s slashers.

Saw this at age 11 in the movie theatre with my brother and cousin. We had the time of our lives!

Freddy looked great & Jason was an absolute unit. It was fan service to an obscene level & I saw it twice in the theater 🤷🏾‍♂️😂🎬🍿

Till this day, I still feel bad for Kane Hodder who didn't get a chance to play Jason.
After watching DEAD MEAT, I learnt that Kane fought so much for a Freddy VS Jason movie, went for tours, voice Jason in games and many more. But when the actual movie is made, he wasn't casted. Despite this movie being a guilty pleasure, I should feel this Jason should have been played by Kane Hodder!

My biggest issue with this movie is that it created that rumor that Jason is afraid of water and of course that Freddy only could killed one guy. Other than that I loved it.

8:06 Speaking of Pinhead, he was supposed to appear in the original ending of the movie.

Jason and Freddy killed each other, then reunited in hell. They attempt to resume the fight, but then Pinhead had then restrained, asking them, "Gentlemen, what seems to be the problem?". It didn't happen because of the rights.

I liked how Freddy was apparently a pretty skilled fighter this whole time. When he's fighting Jason we see him deflect blows, do arm locks, and even high kicks like he's a practiced martial artist. It's so funny to think that despite preying on children and teens all these years he ACTUALLY knows how to kick some ass against a guy his own size.

If you think of this as more of an action horror comedy, it’s a very entertaining movie.

I will always love this movie. It was actually the first film I saw with Jason in it.

This was the first horror movie I ever saw in theaters. I absolutely love it unashamedly! Gotten to interview Robert Englund and Ken Kirzinger on our podcast as well. It's my most sentimental horror movie personally.

Ive always found it to be a really fun movie. Its honestly really well directed, and the fight scenes are well choreographed. Seeing them duel it out is pretty awesome.

This was first R-rated movie I snuck into (I was 12 when this came out)! I was getting really into horror movies at the time and going through all the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th movies, so this was THE movie event for me!
