DJI Air 2s Drone Crash

Flying my drone under a canal bridge which I have done many times before but always nice to try and perfect the shot. Thought I'd try out 5.4k also. I only rendered this in 1080p as I was using it for the DJI forum to report the problem.

It would seem after people have looked at my flight data that the compass got mess up when flying under the bridge. If you notice on the bottom left there are metal side walls for the canal bank. This was possibly enough to throw the compass off and for it to bank sharply to the right and crash.

I think you lost GPS under the bridge and was not able to re stablish GPS while cruising, control was compromised.

Compass errors are scary. Haven't had one yet but I'm sure i will at the worst possible time.

Lets all acknowledge this was the luckiest crash ever. Bet even the propellers are fine.

I had a compass issue with my P4P and it drifted sideways on me toward a highway, it wouldn't stop drifting left so I pulled the stick back to set it down asap before going into the highway. It hit way hard and I had to replace the upper and lower shell, 2 props, and landing gear. Looked at the logs and it showed I had a compass error at the time of the crash.

Hey guys if you have a drone the best way to cover it from any kind of damage or even a fly away is just going through your local insurance company like Allstate or State farm whatever it's no more than 20 bucks a month to have your drone 100% protected even if it flies away DJI won't do that at all you have to have all sorts of proof and you'll be waiting months and months to hear back or to get a new drone but if you go through your local insurance agencies they'll pay you within days for your last item

People need to read up about flying low over water or reflective surfaces. People blaming the "useless sensors" etc lol....saw it coming a mile away(hate crash videos) Glad it didn't go for a swim !!

Looked like a gps problem to me. I fly closely around metal train tressles and never encountered this problem.

Wow, lucky you didn't go in the water I assume you got a little wet retrieving it.

Flying too close to the water.. The glare off of the water Messes bottom sensors up.. Same thing happened to me.. Don't think it was the bridge at all.. Well glad the tree caught it...

What is the point of having all those stupid worthless sensors I was flying mine 2:above water just like this and all of a sudden the sensor from the bottom just stopped working and the drone dipped into the water and disappeared so when they advertise that they have all these sensors to help you not crash yeah they work only if you're going 2 miles an hour 🤣

this is pilot error..i will try my best to fly dji drone in safety situation.i dont want to take any risk with my dji drone..
