I felt your pain man, my drone mini 3 lost its rc connection and crashed to a tower during auto RTH the damage looks pretty similliar

You can clearly see smoke coming off the drone. It was shot out of the air.

It looked like one of the propellers, the right back one (viewed from above), exploded. Then there was smoke. That’s what caused the crash.

I think they strapped firecrackers on the drone as there are smoke coming off and then some shrapnel hit the propeller causing the drone to crash. Not a bird strike

That Mavic 2 was chopping its way through Starlings before it ever crashed. You can see them disintegrating right before the last one’s body got stuck on the prop. It’s still attached when the drone crashes to the ground. Yuck!
The Pilot should have used a little Situational Awareness.
