NBA 2K22 is an upcoming NBA basketball simulation video game by 2K Sports. It will be the twenty-third installment of the NBA 2K series, scheduled for release on September 10th, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. It will be the direct sequel to NBA 2K21, and will be followed by NBA 2K23. Luka Doncic is the main cover player, with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Durant appearing on the cover of the NBA 75th Anniversary Edition. Candace Parker appears on the cover of the GameStop exclusive WNBA 25th Anniversary Edition.

NBA 2K22 features an extensive MyCareer Mode, MyNBA, MyWNBA, MyTeam, and more. There really is something for everyone when it comes to NBA 2K22 game modes.

I brought Ben Simmons to San Antonio . They talked about how he was clashing with Philly, & etc, how Organization in SA giving him a fresh new start to reinvent himself & all I loved it .. presentation & gameplay is god level right now

bro my career is by far the most infuriating game mode I’ve ever played. playing on pro is like playing on hall of fame x10 on any other 2k. they have completely broken it.

THANK glad you pointed that out with the OTF Menu. I usually call my own plays as a way to be more immersed in the game and they changed it with no real reason as to why. They need to change that ASAP!

I agree with *Everything* in this review, especially the score. I haven't particularly enjoyed NBA2K is a *LONG* time, but this is The One right here!! *THIS* is the foundation they need to build on, not 2K21. It wasn't bad, but 2K22 is definitely superior. This game genuinely feels like a "Love letter" to basketball 💯

As someone who only plays Myleague, this year’s game is really not that much of an improvement over past years.

My only gripe with the shooting is how you can have a 1% coverage and you'll miss every time because it's "contested". Really if you're not open, just don't shoot the ball. I hate how hard the CPU defense helps once you break a defender down. It makes it too easy to set up an open teammate. Fastbreaks are literally a joke because all defenders close out on shooters before they even think about going to the middle. The ungodly CPU offensive rebounding is till a thing though. I played a game against the pacers in MyCareer and Malcom Brogdon had 8 offensive rebounds. Like it's ridiculous at this point. Lastly, the double teaming in this game is STILL STILL STILL unrealistic. Make it make sense seriously. Teams in 2K make insanely stupid decisions to double team and it makes the game so boring it's almost unplayable. Even the worst playmaker can make passes with ease because the CPU defense double teams you at the halfcourt mark once you score 6 points. The games pretty fun overall though.

I think the AI defense needs to be tuned down some. It's way overboard. Not saying I want the D to be soft. But damn man. Every team plays lock down D like they the detroit bad boys from the 80s. And we know defense nowadays sucks pretty bad in the nba. Not every team or player plays amazing defense

Mywnba same from last year just added the mystaff still not updated faces for players or updated contracts. You hit it being able to add more customization tho. Would love expansion teams being added. Especially when if you can change it to nba playoff format. Still need contracts extension/10 day in mywnba. Sign in trades need to be added in general. Pregame/halftime/post game show in Wnba as well.

I'm enjoying the D this year, as well as the sweet tears from blow by crowd. Though the changes to D are a tad overboard. Every team playing like the the '03 Pistons.

I've had the Next Gen Version since launch and still haven't received any of my xp. I'm 8 games in on my Career and I can't get any xp. This is straight BS

The last fun 2k I played was 2k16 the gameplay was solid that year hopefully this is somewhat close.

I have a HUGE issue with ANY and ALL defenders on ANY of my Nets big 3 being able to constantly and consistently lock them down in one on one situations. That's straight up garbage and extremely frustrating. Pick and roll is absolutely ridiculous also. Da Czar said go into ball protect and let the pick and roll develop - That's BS. I've tried it 2 whole games and the situation is really not much better, if at all. 2K OD'd on cpu D, period, point blank. I gotta figure some tweaks that will keep it competitive yet more realistic.
