Our brain doesn't count in powers of two, so Why they use GiB and not GB?
I mean, I know that 1M is one thousand times 1K, so I can easily understand when I read 500GB, but if I read 465.66GiB my brain get stuck as Internet Explorer loading a web page.
From my POV GiB is to GB as the imperial system to the metric system.

Not the best explanation, just a bunch of numbers. Why they are used compared to each other and ways to think about them would have been useful.
