The fact that this plane meticulously and deftly flew down all of the borders of the airspace jurisdictions is enough for me. For this to happen "accidentally" is near zero probability. I would say 99.9+ % it was deliberate.

I don’t understand why a pilot would have the power to switch off the transponder without authorization or an override. Turning a plane into a ghost plane shouldn’t be that easy.

This will remain the saddest missing and never found case ever, it seems. Absolutely heartbreaking.

People who have families and decent income seem to not understand that someone can be completely happy, courteous, great conversation & planning to end their life very soon

The only question i truly have is why is turning off the transponder even made possible on any flight? What's the point of having blackboxes that record everything and that you can't tamper with, if you CAN'T FIND IT.

It makes absolutely NO logical sense that a commercial aircraft/pilot has the ability to turn off or disengage the transponder.

Forget the lithium battery Theory!. The batteries didn't fly the plane in the opposite direction and they certainly didn't turn the transponder off. Stick to the facts!

I knew someone who committed suicide and when I was hanging out with him 30 hours earlier, we were laughing hysterically, ie., there was absolutely nothing indicating he was planning on killing himself. So regarding Mh370, the pilot's family saying he didn't seemed depressed means absolutely nothing. I think the evidence clearly points to pilot suicide.

Nothing in a plane stops working at a time… it is a sequence of events… till the exact time when pilot said goodbye, nothing was wrong and then instantly everything turned over so much so that the pilot couldnt contact the atc… this gives strong reason for pilot interference

There are many things happens in this tragic incident but one thing surely that involves is the pilot..

Malaysian authorities were responsible for hiding crucial data for several days, and they continue to not come clean with all they know, making them complacent in MH370's disappearance.

Covered up by the Malaysia government and was pilot suicide!!

People know where this airplane is, even after this amount of time. Hopefully the families get closure in this tragedy.

When that one expert explained the reason why the pilot took that strange turn around the island of Penang being where he's from and possibly getting a last look at it that was chilling.

If the captain would have done this, we will receive many info from United States but they keep very quiet . The reason must be big.

But, why the transponder can be turned off manually? Shouldn't it be something that always stays on.

The pilot is the culprit. He deliberately flew the flight into the Indian ocean. The initial left turn gives us enough clue that the pilot is the culprit.

I don't understand what has the malaysian govt. got to hide if they are not releasing the identity of the caller or location?

I trust Pilot Simon Hardy's understanding of what happened.

Pilot must be suffering from depression, though he didn't have financial problem. People have known to feel suicidal even though their life is going great. Depression is strange!
