There's another method: use a slave module and plug it to the MIDI input of TD-9. TD-9 has a percussion set, which is an awesome feature.

But what if I want to do it the other way around? for example, I'm trying to make my e kit as minimalistic as posible, and I'm thinking of using a dual zone cymbal (with a stereo output jack) as a "crash/ride". I want to connect the edge to the mono crash cable of my module, and the bow to the mono ride cable (my e kit is just all mono, no dual zone in any pad, I'll buy a dual zone cymbal especifically for that experiment).

So I'm trying to understand this, did you use the input of crash2 and split it to the splash and china? I'm using the TD-17. What do you plug your AUX in??? mine is left empty.

Visiting from Klayton's channel. Huge JP fan & a drummer as well, so I had to check out your channel. Excellent video. Subscription added!

Hello🤗, I know I'm late, but I was just wondering: does this work for all drum kits?

What if I want to use a VST only for my sounds. Will splitters work if Im using EZ drummer 2?

Could I use TRS female to 2x 1/4 mono cable to split dual trigger to one? Trying to use single trigger of two on cymbal CY-5 (Roland TD-4).

Are the drum triggers on your toms dual or single zone? I have run into the problem with my splitter cable that the extra drum that I connect to the "rim" splitter only triggers when I hit the rim instead of anywhere on the drum. Although I have all dual trigger zones which might be the problem?! Possible getting one single zone would rectify that. Any thoughts!
