I’m not concerned about whether he’s right, partly right, kinda wrong, all wrong, etc. I am glad that someone is asking the questions. Peeking their nose under the tent. And bucking the tide.

It is as crucial to find out what is not true, as it is to find out what is true. Finding out what did NOT happen is as crucial as discovering what did happen. Focusing on only a portion of the spectrum is probably about all one person can handle in a lifetime. Others can explore different portions of the spectrum.

Knowledge is like an open plain, stretching out into the darkness. When we shine a light onto a small area, we see that there is much more dark plain yet out there that has not been lit, than just the small patch that has been lit. IE: we still know less than is what yet awaits us.

And then some new explorers come along, take another look at what is known, and find errors, mistakes, and omissions. OOPS!

And yet, this slow, stumbling procedure of learning still supersedes all of the superstition that has ever existed. Superstitious faith is a placeholder, waiting to be replaced with knowledge.

Graham can get a little out there, but this is spot on--academics/experts keep telling us 'they just made shit up' on old maps. Really? Because the dudes taking maps to find distant things were relying on that information. You give somebody a wrong map, if they make it back from you getting them lost, you gonna get your ass kicked at least and maybe shot or stabbed. In other news, I just heard the speed of light isn't the constant we've been told, but convention refuses to address this. Graham's not right about everything, but he's sure right about opening our minds and rethinking the dogma that has grown up over hundreds of years now.
