How are paper plates normal in the US? I have been wondering that for a while. Putting them in the trash is not really that much less work than putting real plates into the dishwasher and it’s just unnecessary rubbish production. Can any American please explain why this is a thing? I have just never seen paper plates outside festivals in any of the European countries I’ve lived in and really just want an explanation 😅

I love you haven't cleaned your cutlery draw in a while as when i eventually get around to it its pretty gross!!
As for the paper plates as almost usual for eating from in the US, it is pretty weird to us here in the UK. Paper plates are really only used for party type gatherings.

line the drawer with Viva or paper towels of your choice, clean up could be even easier, by just replacing paper towels.

Make sure silverware is 100% dry when you put it away in a bamboo tray. I messed that up and it caused mold.

Them bamboo organizer are not sturdy. Over time the bottom fall apart, the sides falls apart with them tiny nails that they use. If you decide to get one make sure it’s a good quality.
