I've always lived in smaller, quirky kitchens. Not those Instagram perfect ones. Sure they pose a lot of issues, but I find there are lots of ways I can also make them work for me with a little planning. I'm sharing some products, tips, and hacks I use to keep my small kitchen more organized and make it best function for me.

Thank you for understanding that most of us do not have Pinterest or IG kitchens or homes. Yes my home is nice and clean and cute but its normal. Its not a million dollar home. It’s a 150k home with one bathroom and 4 bedrooms. We live normal. I shop at target and T.J.Maxx and boutiques. Not Saks or Nordstrom or LV lol. I love that you are just like most of us. I love that you are real and relatable. Please never change!! ❤️❤️🙌🏻

Hi, suggestion. Put your lids ON the matching saucepan. Just 'turn the lid upside down'. It takes up no extra space 😁 you're welcome 🤠

22, not a mom and don’t really want to be for awhile. But like, Kallie brings me so much happiness and comfort. She’s got the best tips and tricks and has inspired me to be a more overall positive person in life for like 3 years now.

I have small kitchen as well and love that you talk about us with smaller spaces, without huge pantries.

Love how you jump right into sharing info and that you do not repeat yourself over and over! Very refreshing and relaxing!

Thank you for this video. I live in a rental. My "pantry" is a cabinet my coworker gave me for free. I made a makeshift "island" to have more cabinet and counter space. It's easy to organize your kitchen if you have a giant home. But most of us are just trying to work with what we've got. 😆

I haven’t heard “Fishin’ In the Dark” in years! I’m going to date myself, but that was my favorite song in my teen years! Thanks for the throwback!

I would love to see an eagle eye view of your current kitchen layout and then your planned layout. I have a small galley kitchen and plan to update it next year too so I'm all ears to your new layout.

I use vertical space as much as I can, I add shelves on the walls, inside the cupboards, or baskets inside the doors as you demonstrated. And forget about round storage containers that create wasted space, get square or rectangular ones! Perfect also when you store prepped meals and leftovers in the fridge and freezer.

We hit the road in our RV right after rona hit and our timing couldn’t have been better. 😅 It was a massive downsize for us but FT RVing has freed us in so many ways. We thought we’d do this, “until things calm down, ” but I honestly love it. That said, the tiny kitchen has presented many challenges, but I think I’ve figured it all out. It is NEVER going to be a Pinterest kitchen because it’s so small and my husband and I are both chefs (training our twelve year old to cook and be self-sufficient on top of that), and we eat a whole food, organic diet and use no nonstick or plastic. We gained a whole lot of food storage space when DH ripped out the bulky microwave. 😂 Everything in its place is critical for functioning and sanity in here.
I’ve had the big kitchen with negative space around each item in the cupboards, the gorgeous pot rack, several sets of photo-ready dinnerware, and everything grab-and-go. That is a different world from tiny kitchen living. My Visions cookware is stacked in a deep drawer so the pot I need might be on the bottom and I have to take everything out to get to it. There is no grab-and-go! We use Corelle dishes now because they stack well, they’re clean with no potentially toxic glazes, and they’re lightweight but durable. Almost all of our cast iron and All-Clad was left in storage but one saucepot hangs on a hook and three pieces are stowed in the oven, and that means things have to go *somewhere* when I use the oven. It ain’t pretty! But it’s clean and functional.
I now want to have a purely functional kitchen when we eventually settle down and build our small home. I’m never going to have the big home to clean again. That’s a nightmare. RV living has spoiled me to having everything in easy reach and less to clean. I wish more people could experience this freedom.

Thank you for making us feel "normal". As much as I love watching youtube videos, I will never have a giant kitchen like a lot of youtubers show in these videos

I love how real you are. Love the song "Fishin' In The Dark" by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, I'm a country lady. Love all your great tips and tricks. TFS

As simple as it was I loved that you used command hooks to hang baskets on the inside of cabinet doors. This will be my next project as I have struggled to find a little hack as simple as this to clean up underneath my kitchen and bathroom sinks. Thank you Kallie! 💝

My friend used a drying rack for her pot and pan lids, the thing is loaded! Love it and it is super easy/organized!

I’m having a house built and I custom the island in that green and got so much flack from family. Makes me feel SO good to see even 1 other person loving that colour in a kitchen. Much ❤️

Thank you!! The frustration of organizing small kitchens is real! It’s hard to find space for everything!! I live in an apartment, so thank you for these tips!!

Some great ideas in here that I plan to pass on to my daughter who lives in an apartment. You will love your new kitchen...we bought a 70's house about 5 years ago and 3 years ago we renovated the kitchen into my dream kitchen. I still get all the feels when I'm in my kitchen and I feel so blessed! I went from no pantry to a nice sized cabinet style pantry which is my favorite thing but my 2nd favorite thing is pull out drawers for my lower cabinets. This is amazing, because you can see EVERYTHING at a glance when you open it, making it soooo easy to stay organized...highly recommend!
Thanks for sharing your tips! 🙂

I have a funny story about that song...I was away visiting my Mom in Newfoundland, and my husband was hanging out with his family while I was gone...we are a musical bunch and had jam sessions together all the time, and Fishin In The Dark was a song I loved to do...well....they all started playing the song, and BOOM, the power went out!! I said that's what you get for playing my song without me 😁

Our house was built in the 30s, too! They cared nothing about kitchen or bathroom sizes back then. And when a previous owner put in a dishwasher, they took out what was the biggest cupboard set.
Add to that two owners who are crappy organizers, and, viola, disaster area! Probably ought to watch this twice…
