Mr.Kenny Vaughn my first exposure to this great player was I just moved to Nashville, back in 2004, went down to Broadway on a Wednesday night, went Roberts western world and Don Kelly was telling Kenny how to play a intro, to a very fast bluegrassy song by just vocalizing the intro “dah, dah, dah, dah” etc in the Key of B... Kenny said “ Ok, give me one second” after that second Kenny said “let’s do it “ and they counted it 1, 2, 3, 4, and Kenny just tore into the riff, and I was blown away, and I went home and my roommate who has been In Nashville for many years, told him about this great player I heard, and I didn’t know who he was, he said what does he look like, where was he playing, so I described him and he said “Oh that’s Kenny Vaughn, he’s Killer!” I said “ No shit!” Been a huge fan of his playing since.

One of the relatively unsung great players. He’s graced a lot of stages.

Love this! Cuzzin Kenny is one of the hottest pickers around. Of course, his pickin’ bud Marty Stuart is no slouch either...

I've enjoyed knowing Kenny throughout my 21 years in Nashville. We played one gig together at Roberts, and were supposed to work together at Tootsies, but got bumped for another artist. He is very well-spoken, and once described working with a particular artist as "laborious, whose songs were contrived!"

Any mention of Buck Owens/Don Rich is great for me.

The way he shares that first lick he learned on the guitar he bought with his paper route money is a profound encouragement for the rest of humanity.

Vaughan is such an under-rated guitarist, he's probably the greatest in the world!

Mr. Vaughn is a very good guitarist. Glad to see him being out there. He favors flat wounds.
