Drift ~ Triple Changer Ability #drift #transformers

Travis Knight clearly shows Dropkick and Shatter's triple-changer ability, but Michael Bay just briefly shows Drift has this ability too. Drift transforms into a helicopter in Age of Extinction, but there is no scene when Drift transforms into a Bugatti even though we know he can. However, in The Last Knight, he only uses a black and red Mercedes as his alternate mode.

Well in the scene where the Autobots invade KSI there's an interior shot of Bumblebee going through the glass. If you pay attention you can see drift transforming in the background. It must be a licensing thing that Bugatti and even Oshkosh agreed to, that their vehicles will be in the film, they will be characters and will have robot modes but they didn't want to see their vehicles have an onscreen transformation. That would be a valuable reason but there's a glaring issue and that's Crosshairs. He didn't have an on screen transformation and it doesn't make sense why Chevy allowed their Camaro and corvette stingray concept to have on screen transformations but didn't allow for the C7 Corvette and the beat and traxes to have on screen transformations.

Drift lost his second sword and its apart of that transformation for him to become a helicopter, but in the "last knight" he doesn't have the sword nor the ability to transform in the mode again. Such as leaving him with the one current sword now.

Megatron also has the triple changer ability. At least the trilogy form. He usually transforms into a jet, but he also transforms into a cybertronian tank in ROTF when getting away from Optimus right before the forest battle. Neither Galvatron nor Knight Megatron showcase a similar ability.
