Hi, I’m also a hairstylist with fine, stick-straight hair that feels like corn silk when I have no products in. People always think I have such thick hair when it’s styled out, but I always tell them, “it’s just an illusion of products.” 😀
Just some info of what my favorite volumizing products are:
Big Sexy Hair Root Pump Plus, Redken Volume Maximizer pump spray, (both before blow drying on towel dried hair) and Big Sexy Hair Powder Play (after drying, before final styling hairspray.)
I do have to use a round brush when drying, and curling iron here and there afterwards. My hairstyle is like Lisa Rinna’s.
I also like a bit of “Bed Head Manipulator” for extra texture throughout and on ends. Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine hairspray.
I hope these products might help someone else with naturally super- straight, flat hair. 😊

I blow dry my hair with a round brush. Before it is totally dry, I use Velcro rollers. I leave them in an hour or more. When I take the rollers out, my hair has body & bounce. The do stays for 2 to 3 days if the humidity is low. I use an anti frizz cream, as well to keep my hair smooth. I LOVE VELCRO ROLLERS.

Best YouTuber I've found giving hacks for fine hair! Most are the same ones repeated but yours are so much more in depth and you actually have fine, thin hair so we know it's worth doing 🙂

I've never heard anyone mention that hot tools collapse volume, but you're right!! I'm flashing back to all the times I've tried sooo hard to have loose waves. Starting with painstakingly volumized hair, pulling out the curling iron, and ending up with sad limp stringy hair! Thank you! My life makes more sense now😅😆

I agree that a scalp exfoliate is very beneficial especially if using dry shampoo on a regular basis. I’ve only used a diy exfoliate of sugar and honey. Seemed to work great!

can also put a light spray of hair spray on hair when you have the velcro rollers in if your hair is dry and dont want to blow dry it etc.

I started using thickening spray at the end of last year. Best decision ever. I use bumble & bumble volumizing spray go big plumping treatment. For some reason their regular volumizing spray doesn’t really do a lot & it smells like chemicals.

Great tips! Thank you. My hair is thin and silky soft. A real nightmare. So many people speak about those self-grip rollers, but several say the rollers now and then can be very difficult to get off your hair. Perhaps I ought to try.
