Great video, the new model 10W version with the 18" Whip antenna you have, we tested last week and got 12.5 miles range while driving with the antenna out the window at -20C between vehicles at highway speeds, it should be at least double that when the vehicle antenna is installed. Last August we tested in the mountains to see how they were with less line of site, and were able to communicate over 2 mountains 5 miles away without a repeater, the work crew up there were using Kenwoods and could only achieve the same results with a repeater. Great piece of kit, well work getting a few of them.

Super helpful video Mike. I haven’t had time to wire up my hardwired GMRS yet so I’ve been looking for a handheld. 🤙🏽
