I’ve gotta say that I love the point you made when you said that people will see super hero movies but they have to earn it. Excellent point

After Endgame, I think the Mcu should've taken a break for a couple of years. Let them figure out the rights to X men, Deadpool, etc. And start a new phase or reboot the Mcu with those characters.
Still could have the problems that they have now. But Taking a break could have let them have time to plan out the next big storyline after Endgame.

It's not that people lost interest in it after endgame, it's because the movies quality fell off a cliff .

2008 - 2019 Man that was the Golden age of Marvel movies

As always, LESS is MORE. This was the case for Marvel Studios. In the past, we got excited for a small group of heroes forming the Avengers and we felt satisfied with the final result. You could see the destination of the journey, while still enjoying every single story. Now we basically have every possible character on screen and it all feels oversaturated without a proper direction besides maybe nostalgia and fan service.

The MCU is ironically facing a similar problem that most comic universes face, the difficulties of trying to tell a story with no ending. It's already difficult to constantly find ways to keep plot going indefinitely, but when you have to actual actors who can age, get arrested, and quit, it becomes that much harder to keep things going.

I’ve thought about this and I think one of the biggest issues with today’s MCU is that the MCU stopped making every movie experience an event. They used to make going to the movies more than JUST going to the movies. It was an event and experience that was best shared with the people around you. These days, not so much.

I didn't enjoy how they handled Scarlett witch in the Dr. Strange movie. Her whole character arc was undone. She learned how to cope and let go only to be a villain.

Since Endgame, particularly in Phase 4, the storytelling direction seems more scattered. In Phases 1-3, newly introduced characters had a swift return, such as Rhodey, Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Falcon, etc. Now, it appears that characters are introduced without a clear narrative purpose, contributing to a sense of quantity over meaningful integration into the universe.

I remember telling my sister, after everything we saw from Iron Man to Endgame, it's gonna be hard for Marvel to keep that same level of excitement.

I'm one of those suckers that will still watch these movies cause i love the feeling of seeing something/someone I've only heard about from comics in an actual movie, it never gets old for me, even if it's no longer making money.

Marvel completely missed the boat on Norton’s Bruce Banner. Banner is equally fascinating as a character. And Ruffalo isn’t Banner.

Werewolf by night was actually really good imo

Thank you for actually not being biased and acknowledging its flaws, unlike some other content creator that just simps for everything Marvel.

The problem with the MCU is that it got hijacked and started to bring ppl who were not comic book fans as writers and directors who were interested in pushing identify politics instead of telling stories.

To really highlight where we are with the MCU this is the 5th year after endgame released and we haven’t established a new Avengers team yet. There doesn’t seem to be a build towards anything or even a plan

Fun Fact: For Avengers: Endgame, the idea of showing the autographs for the original Avengers actors in the end credits came from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, which was also a finale for its cast.

Kang was a bad choice. We literally watched him get beaten in first appearances against solo heroes. He just can't be taken seriously as a big bad
