One of the good technical guy i have seen, good explanation.
I would like to add something, by looking at the content of packet and tracing the IP addresses. You should be able to trace the location if traffic is only traversing the private network. Also if firewall is connected to the other ISP and with sharing data, location can be traced.
One more thing, firewall can be intercept your data by being in the middle man, it can decrypt (not all) some of your packets.

And on other topics like what's app reading messages and storing them, they are just absurd, not possible.

It is a polite request that there should not be a firewall in Pakistan because, unfortunately, it is a reflection of the cruel thinking of the government because these people can never think of doing good for Pakistan.
