Don't even have to go to Amazon to browse, I caught myself doing that at the grocery today. I feel it could go back to the gnawing feeling of "doing nothing", that even looking at something as boring as "which brand of frozen veggie mix am I grabbing?" can push away for just another moment.

This why I get rid of any app with a news feed. When it comes to YouTube I go through my daily subscriptions, pick the videos that interest me the most and try not to add too many to my Watch Later list for the day.

the flip side of the argument
if i want to find the definition of a word 20 years ago I would go to a dictionary, and as I find the word I learn 5 or 6 other words, so vocabulary increases
but now you type it in to a search bar and you instantly skip everything that you may have learnt

That's how retailers in general are set up. Business is designed to squeeze as much money out of you as possible, often resorting to psychological tricks to do so. Marketing textbooks in college openly admit this.

I compare the closest chainstores online into an excel and take travel into account when planning where to do my groceries. Multiply your travel time with your hourly rate and compare the totals. Sometime the time saved is equal to the money saved. Plus when you know what you want before the store, you dont browse and the queue to the casheer is going to take longer than your shopping.

I browse the grocery store a lot, but that's because I need more variety in my diet on account of not eating meat and very few vegetables. I am very picky

I don't browse. I don't even go on shopping sites unless I need to buy a specific thing. I will look for the best/cheapest version of that specific thing and buy just that. I don't have the money to browse.

I don't have the money to print stuff, so I'm thinking get a program to auto disable the internet after a certain time. Also have a big timer overlay so when it's on I know my time is limited and I'm more picky with it

I haven't done this yet, these are just ideas

Comparing price than add being indecisive for days. I go to stores get stuff in my cart than sit there a while to decide if I really need the stuff in my cart. That is what takes up my time not sure if I what this thing right now or later. If I get it later will it be there to get. I think to much than start thinking of other random stuff and loss concertration that I forget about stuff in my online cart until they message me. At that point I'm just like nope don't won't it but have to sit there for weeks until I decide that it is time and might start the whole process again. Lol
