I love how little things like this crack me up in this show

Incredible acting from Shiv’s actress, you can see how at 0:42 she starts listening to Ken and slowly falling for his pitch and vision, by the end you know Shiv was ready to join Kendall, but his lack of emotional intelligence in the aftermath of this scene alongside some heavily referenced donuts proves that sometimes a good pitch it’s just not enough.

This pitch by Kendall summarizes all of his pitches. Optimistic, full of buzz words, with a desire to impress and be perceived as innovative and disruptive, ultimately unrealistic and not resonating with the people around him. He’s trying too hard.

In all fairness to Kendall, that was a poignant pitch. Despite the soulless void that birthed it.

This is the monologue you gave Borko when you started this channel

After watching the finale, I realize how important this scene is. I dare say that it encapsulates the main message of the series.

Kendall, despite living in privilege, understood the world, knew where it was going and knew exactly what they had to do in the company so that it could survive and transcend. Sadly, Kendall always made the same two wrong decisions: clinging to involving his siblings (and trusting them) and being lukewarm about his ideals. In the end, he continued to trust his siblings and decided to support a dangerous president who was not going to support him and this ended up causing his final downfall.
