The Troubles in Northern Ireland | A Brief History of Belfast

During our visit to Belfast, we took a trip up the Falls Road, a road synonymous with the Troubles of Belfast, and Northern Ireland. The Falls road and neighboring road Shankill road are infamous for their divide and sectarian violence from the 1960s/70s right up to today.
To get a proper insight into the history of Befast during the Troubles, we would recommend doing some research, as we only briefly touched on it. We would also recommend watching the movie Some Mothers Son, which is about Bobby Sands and his struggles during the hunger strikes.
This is the second of two episodes focusing on Belfast, on our Northern Ireland Roadtrip Series.
