I think some of this is also looking for an excuse to explain away bad behaviors at times. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have a feeling some of that's going on as well. It is true that a lot of kids struggle with their identity especially when they're stuck at home all of the time these days.

I self diognosed myself with EDS. I asked my GP, eventually got refered to specialist, 6months after first being laughed at for it being so rare... guess what! 🙄 Algorithms can actually work.

yup the amount of kids on there who have convinced themselves they have anything from tourettes to DID (which a child can't even be diagnosed with nor would anyone actually diagnosed on the younger end be capable of the complex on cue alter switches etc)

None of the steps to correct this problem include giving it more media coverage. And they know this.

It's likely the entire issue was created by the media's social engineering in the first place.
