Did You Know In THE LION KING 2: SIMBA’S PRIDE…

There happens to be many similarities between this story and the story of the first movie. This movie sees Simba warning his daughter Kiara not to go near the Outlands, just as young Simba was told not to go outside of the Pride Lands. When Kiara does stumble upon the Outlands, she disobeys her father’s wishes and explores the territory, just as young Simba and young Nala do in the elephant’s graveyard. The villain’s song, “My Lullaby”, is also very similar to the villain's song in the first movie, “Be Prepared”.

Love this movie just shows most of us do become like our parents.

Both Kiara and Simba attempt to save the enemy

tbh, these ones are pretty obvious. Nala even told Simba, after Kiara ran off, that she was just like Simba when he was little.

I also perceived the similarity of both movies: Kiara also went to the outlanders, after Simba scolds her, also when Kiara and Kovu look the stars in the same way as Timon, Pumbaa and Simba at night, and of course, Zira and Scar's songs are equally terrifying
about ending Simba and his family

Nala literally says to Simba "She's just like you were when you were young" about the outlands and getting into trouble. It was SUPPOSED to be parallel to Lion King

Yeah I noticed everything, even the scene where Nala left the Prideland and met Simba in Hakuna Matata is very similar to when Kovu went to save Kiara from the fire incident

Kiara and Kion (who was at the tree of life or not born during the events of the second movie seen) do take after their parents in ways. Kiara had her father’s stubborn but playful side and Nala’s ability to pin in wrestling matches. Kion has his father’s temperament. Both cubs have their mom’s wisdom.

It’s meant to show how, Nala is like Simba when he was young, it’s even stated in the movie, it’s either that or they just clicked cntrl - c

Also these two movies are inspired by Shakespeare plays(TLK1 is based on Hamlet, TLK2 is based on Romeo & Juliet and TLK3/TLK1 1/2 is based on Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are dead)

And there’s a completely uncalled for Time skip that happens suddenly and is very Confusing and annoying

The difference being Simba and Nala were annoyingly rebellious for no reason, but in lion king 2, Simba the father was kind of genuinely in the wrong.

well yeah even they said it themselves that it was stated how they wanted to make a girl version of The Lion King one. so literally The narrative is supposed to be the same.

That's why the sequel has a clichéd and unoriginal story because it rehas elements from the first movie. Also the star crossed love story is nothing new - we already saw this in Pocahontas.
