Guys this ans is incorrect

The correct ans is 23!
Solution-(x+1/x)²=5². (on squaring both sides)
Now, use (a+b)²=a²+2ab+b² identity
(x)²+2(x)(1/x)+(1/x)²=25
Cut x
x²+2+1/x2=25
x²+1/x²=25-2
x²+1/x²=23
Sooo, 23 is correct ans not 27

(x+1/x)^2 = 5^2
x^2+1/x^2+2*x+1/x=25
x^2+1/x^2 +2=25
x^2+1/x^2=25-2
x^2+1/x^2=23

I did this but in different method

If x-1/x = y then x+1/x will be √[(y)²+4]
And
If x+1/x=y then x²+1/x² will be y² – 2


x+1/x=√[(5)²+4]
I.e x+1/x=√29

And x²+1/x²=(√29)² – 2
I.e x²+1/x²=27
