I confess that I don’t really understand how James Corden is as popular as he is. I don’t have anything against him, or resent him being on our screens; he seems like a nice chap, despite recent controversy. Maybe someone can enlighten me??

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell was a brave attempt at filming a huge fantasy novel - reminiscent of the Gormenghast teleseries. Part of the problem is that they are filmed without the sense of humour, which was evident in both of the source novels.

Was not a fan of soaps, so not a fan of eldorado. But I do think Beeb did not give it a chance, it needed bedding in and a little character pruning and it would have worked.

What's even more ironic is that Rise and Fall was produced by Studio Lambert, the same production company that makes The Traitors for the BBC.

I’m sure the Eldorado set had no plumbing. So the set was littered with portaloos.

Also, I remember the audio was horrendous. Again, something to with how the set was built.

Eldorado is the only one I've heard of or known existed. I can see why. I didn't watch that one either!
