You are the first person to show exactly what needs to be done before parking. Everyone else goes straight to parking, which is ridiculous!

I wish it would do this automatically at superchargers with or without vehicles present.

The “S” system looks slightly more intuitive: the “P” is a lot bigger and all you do is stop, select reverse and tap the “start” icon.
However the parking isn’t nearly as neat as you show: it rarely goes in without having to go forward - sometimes several times but it does end up square in the space.
The problem is that you have to drive so slowly to get a recognised space and it misses around half of them. So you end up with a line of cars behind you as you indicate you are stopping yet keep passing spaces. Then, despite driving at a slow walking pace, you must hit the brakes instantly otherwise you are past the window and the “P” has disappeared - and the road rage just behind increases.
IF the following car has stopped far enough back and you begin the exercise, the chances are that you will take several ins and outs to make it and at this point you will realise that the car behind isn’t a car but a massive pickup, with oversized tires, three CB antennas and a suspension lift. The owner will be a 350 lb wrestler and his dog in the back will be black, called Tyson and have his eyes riveted on your throat.
So, apart from trying it out in the odd deserted parking lot, I have never been able to use autopark.

Nice video. I looked at several and you are the first person that slows down, lets me look at your screen and you don't talk a billion miles an hour. Can you show how it looked next to curb? Willing to try in a smaller parallel park space? I just tried this for the first time in a Mach-e. It was self explanatory, much easier, and whipped me nicely in a more normal sized parallel spot. I was worried about curb checking, but it did not do it. The blinker indicator along with driving slow next to park vehicles AND hitting the intent to park button made it a much easier and for sure experience not a guessing game. Nice video, thanks.

Can you show us the perspective of the autopark from the outside of the car (especially when you got out of the car and it parked itself using the proxy sensors), thanks!
