Audacity AI Tools (Free AI Plugins - OpenVINO)

Intel has built a suite of free AI tools for Audacity. And in this video, I’ll show you how how to get them and how they work. Plugins not showing? Click Edit - Preferences - Modules - set mod-openvino from New to Enabled - click OK and restart Audacity.

The package contains an AI noise-reduction tool, a transcription tool, which is great for podcasters, and music generation and separation tools.

And they all run locally on your PC. Let’s take a look.

First time using Audacity for anything more than cutting audio files. You just made my day. I'm a ghostwriter, recently started writing song lyrics. As a preview i use AI music generators to actually hear my texts as specific music styles, but very often the voice quality is a bit too robotic and overall audio a bit noisy/low quality. I really hope this will help to improve it a bit. You just got a new subscriber. Thank You for this channel.

Wow, as an audiobook narrator, the transcription will be a game-changer for me since sometimes someone wants a change but they don't tell me the timestamp. So then I have to keep rooting around trying to find the part in my audio file that needs fixing, and it gets super time-consuming.

Downloaded and installed and everything went fine. Worked a charm on the audio file I selected. Don't know how it works but all the seperate tracks were created from the original single track I loaded into it. Thanks SO much for the tutorial. Just a couple weeks ago I was wondering if there was a way to isolate just the drum track from a song....now there is!

Update: The more recent version (for Audacity 3.7) has a setup wizard now, so you can run that from your downloads folder and it will automatically send all the files to where they need to go (instead of having to drag them there manually like the previous version in this video requires).

For those who just want the Noise Separation feature, just uncheck all the boxes except for the first one. Can't remember what it was called off hand, but I know it was obvious.

You say you’ll probably be editing before you transcribe. For some of us, the transription feature is solely to aid in the editing process. It helps find the takes that need deleting.

The sound of your video sounds very good. May I ask which microphone, audio interface and possibly compressor you use?

I'm a guitarist, and with this plugin, I've been able to split a song, take the guitar track and save it independently, or resave an mp3, with the guitar line removed COMPLETELY. It even works on live sets. I'm upto about 200 tracks in the past week or so, it's pretty incredible:




I'm serious, when you're able to listen to Jimi Hendrix, just playing guitar on his own on some tracks, as well as suddenly be able to hear EVERY SINGLE WORD clearly all of a sudden, it gives you goosebumps. 😂

I don't have an Audacity submenu in the Effects or Analyze sections. I have a new version of Audacity than the one you would have used in this video, but I don't think I ever had that. I've installed the plugins and enabled the module, but I can't find them anywhere.
