She let that dog out to go to the bathroom and play in the snow. A Husky would go mad for 20 inches of snow. She either forgot or the dog went nuts and ran away. As a Vet Tech, she should be the first to apologize and take responsibility. Her denying that it was her dog makes me think that Vet's office where she works, should be avoided at all costs(if she's the type of person they employ).

My older dog and my new puppy played and slept together but one day my older dog grabbed the puppy and started shaking him.
He was ok but it just goes to show you that it CAN happen!

Huskies are runners, escape artists, and love the snow. I'm not surprised they don't know how it got out. But they're still responsible.

My neighbors have a husky, and I can confidently state that Huskys have high prey drive. HIGH. I've seen my neighbors husky get a gopher, more than once.
Not only that, but the snow makes them happy. Beyond happy. I imagine the excitement activated the prey drive.
(I'm no expert, but I've been training in dog psychology)
