I'd like to know how a deep pan increases cooling capacity. A deep pan does not increase trans cooler size. Unless it has fins on the bottom of the pan, or around the sides, it really won't increase the cooling capability.

I’ve heard some conflicting opinions about 6 speed conversions on the 5 spd in my lly. Some companies say that just doing the valve body and tcm programming without doing a front pump upgrade will eventuality burn up the clutches for 6th gear because without the front pump upgrade it doesn’t produce the needed line pressure. I’m new to the diesel world so not sure what to believe. Nobody in my area that I know of has done a 6 spd conversion, so I really have nobody to ask in person.
