Standing seam metal roof installation can be done many ways. One method to install standing seam is a 3 piece gable trim. This system consists of gable/rake flashing, receiver trim, and a trim cleat.

The receiver trim will hold your first and last standing seam panels in place. In addition, it can be used to fasten the standing seam rake trim after the standing seam panels are installed. The trim cleat will hold the gable trim in place.
