Interesting use of the rivet there. I've installed these very roofs and those ridge caps like that however, we always use the self tapping screws with the rubber. however, that looks like a good idea as well.

Gap between sheets. At ridge is supposed to be 2" on each side 4" total. Highly inadequate ventilation is the result with the 2" that you have.

Я не специалист, но думается герметик не должен растягиваться непонятно как на расстояние большее 10 см, а наносится именно по краю нахлёста, чтобы вода не попадала под нахлёст и не оставалась там .
Иначе от него мало толку
