NBA 2K19 Review - The Final Verdict

2K Games seems intent on ensuring that they only press forward and never settle for “good enough”. Because of that dedication to quality, 2K19 is still the reigning champ and comes out strong with the best single player experience in basketball. A few hiccups along the way, especially in relation to some pretty serious online multiplayer instabilities, definitely bring down the experience. Thankfully though, these quibbles don't tarnish what is easily one the best game in the franchise in years and definitely the best option for your basketball fix this year.

Full priced games should not exclude online features from offline. Playing online should be optional. They are trying to force players to play online. Where is the freedom?

Thank u for mentioning the outrages microtransactions not allot of reveiwers are mentioning thar as the review copies they recieved not only have allot of free credits but also a exp boost ita a shame this game looks like it chould be so much better without

Does anyone find MyCareer very punishing this year? A turn over drains half a letter on the team mate grade, letting your man score drains half a letter and stuff like assists don’t even fill 1/3 of the bar.

This game is not fun. If u want to be good, you have to study playbooks and spend much time in 2ku. If u don't, u will suck. I don't have that much time nor do I want to memorize playbooks. Tone it down a bit 2K. You are losing the casual players.

Why does it feel like the animation is "blocky" and it is like the players' feet are like sliding when they are moving? And why is My Player appears "thin" compared to his weight? It's getting worse 2k.

Ive been playing 2k since 2009 and 19 is nothing but 18 with more horrible in game moments then ever sure the defense is better but nothing is real about the game at all i rather play 18 where i know somebody had to really be good to guard me rather then 19 where everybody is a lockdown defender they tried to fix the game and made it worse

NBA2K19: Hospital edition.

I swear at least 5 players get injury every time i play a game. Its ridiculous

This game is absolutely horrible. Its the same its been for years now. CPU continues to shoot just a ridiculous FG % especially in the 4th quarter, unless you turn the sliders down below 40. I shouldn't have to spend hours tinkering with sliders to make a game work. The "invisibile wall" is still there like its been since forever. CPU press coverage guards you almost 100% of the time, no matter where you are on the court. Calling for screens has become utter trash, because CPU plays absolute perfect defense. Their ability to insta-rotate is obsurd. the CPU's ability to close space is obsurd. The CPU's ability to guard 2 on 1 fastbreaks is obsurd (a known issue with this game for years now).

The game has been built for years now for online only. Im sure its a fantastic game when the human element is in play 5 v 5. Online modes and online league stuff is unprecedented. But as far as offline play is concerned, it is just really BAD, and completely sucks the fun out of the game
