In this video I show you how to make a leather dice or coin pouch. These are popular with World of Warcraft and Dungeons & Dragons players but they are also very useful for storing other items. I show the different types of leather you can use to make the pouch and show the process of making one step-by-step. I talk about the benefits of using a sewing machine to increase the profitability of making leather goods.

Great video! I will definitely try and make one.

Also, fun fact: at 16:31 it looks like a moth head is appearing to teach us the way of the leather

I really dislike the idea of using a sewing machine. I can understand why some people do, but I guess I'm just a stubborn traditionalist who only wants to stitch by hand. I suppose if it comes down to it, I may have to cave in and get a sewing machine if I plan to sell small goods at a higher volume. I understand that time is money, but I also know that a saddle stitch is much better than a sewing machine's lock stitch. Thanks for the video! I'm glad you're back and doing well!

I am just getting started in the leather hobby and it is mostly due to your videos. This bag is made using "pig leather". I am in the US and while looking for this material there seems to be 4 groups of pig leather. Suede, lining, nappa and split. Which one are you using and if you have a moment can you describe the differences?

Hi Geordie! Glad you're back! Very nice to see that you're selling leather tools and more on your website!
I saw that your selling skiving knife with ceramic blade... I'm curious about that... Do you own one? Have you tried it?

I thought people would appreciate hand stitching. I'm a beginner in leather craft, I've made 5 coin pouches by hand, ( a lot of patience and effort) and it would be great if I could sell them. But, nowadays I think people appreciate more machine sewn dice/coin pouches and leather craft in general... maybe I'm wrong.

Thank you so much for this video. I made the pouch by following your instruction and as you said it did not take much time to make one until I got to the point where I installed eyelets. I could not make holes like you did. First I used a Tandy Leather rotary hole punch. Then I used Arbor press attached a hole maker that came with eyelet kit but it did not work neither. so I had to use a knife to make 8 holes which took me for a while. The weight for the leather that I used is about 3 to 4 oz. suede leather. Is there any other tool that make holes easier?
Although it took for a while to make the pouch, the end product looks pretty good. I just need to find a way to make 8 holes quicker.
