Tesla Lays Off Hundreds of Autopilot Employees

Tesla laid off hundreds of workers on its Autopilot team as the electric-vehicle maker shuttered a California facility, according to people familiar with the matter. Ed Ludlow reports on "Bloomberg Triple Take."

A lot of these Tesla labeling systems are automated now, so there really isn't much need for people to manually label things.

The media will likely make a big deal out of this, but it's not a big deal at all. If anything, this means Tesla is really confident in their system.

If you're experiencing being laid off for the first time, I empathize. The experience sucks. But, this is a normal business practice. Generally, you're given no notice so that you have little chance to sabotage or steal secrets from the company. Pick yourself up and move on.

Tesla can make money selling cars and should concentrate resources on cars and charging network. There is money to be mode in software but it should have been an in car store like Apple, not automated driving. Millions of people need/want a Tesla car but I don't think they want FSD.
