Prostat Kanseri Teşhisi için PSA değeri yeterli midir? #üroloji

🏥50 yaşından sonra erkeklerde en sık görülen kanser prostat kanseridir. PSA, prostat taramasında kullandığımız bir testtir. PSA yüksekliği, kesinlikle prostat kanseridir demek değildir. Fakat PSA yüksekliği saptadığımız zaman, ayrıca bunu son yıllarda MR dediğimiz yöntemle de teyit ediyoruz; bu testlerin ikisinde de yüksek şüpheli kanser olasılığı var ise prostat biyopsisi yapıyoruz. Kesin tanıyı prostat biyopsisi ile koyuyoruz. Fakat taramada kullanılan test PSA'dır

🌎After the age of 50, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. PSA is a test used for prostate screening. Elevated PSA levels do not necessarily indicate prostate cancer. However, when we detect high PSA levels, we also confirm this with a method called MRI in recent years; if there is a high suspicion of cancer in both of these tests, we perform a prostate biopsy. We establish the definitive diagnosis with a prostate biopsy. However, the test used for screening is PSA.
