🔺Prostat; erkeklerde, idrar torbasının alt kısmında bulunan, erkek hücresi spermin taşınması ve canlılığının korunmasından sorumlu, erişkin erkeklerde 18-20 gr ağırlığında bulunan iç salgı bezidir.
🔺Düzenli kontroller, prostat ile ilgili hastalığın (prostat iltihabı ya da kanseri) erken tanı ve tedavisi için son derece önemlidir. Erken önlem alındığında, prostat kanseri tedavi edilebilir.
🔺Prostat kanserinde yaş faktörü ve genetik yatkınlık çok önemlidir. Kişinin aile öyküsünde prostat kanseri varsa, 40 yaşından itibaren düzenli olarak yılda bir prostat muayenesi olmalıdır. Ailede prostat kanseri öyküsü yok ve kişinin de hiçbir sorunu yoksa, 50 yaşından itibaren yine yılda bir olmak üzere prostat muayenesi olmalıdır. Prostat kanseri en sık 65 yaşında görülmekte ve 6 ayda bir prostat muayenesi ve PSA yapılmalıdır.

🔺Prostate; It is an endocrine gland located in the lower part of the urinary bladder in men, responsible for transporting and maintaining the vitality of male cell sperm, weighing 18-20 grams in adult men.
🔺 Regular check-ups are extremely important for early diagnosis and treatment of prostate-related disease (prostate inflammation or cancer). If early action is taken, prostate cancer can be treated.
🔺Age factor and genetic predisposition are very important in prostate cancer. If a person has a family history of prostate cancer, he or she should have a regular prostate examination once a year starting from the age of 40. If there is no family history of prostate cancer and the person has no problems, he/she should have a prostate examination once a year starting from the age of 50. Prostate cancer is most common at the age of 65, and prostate examination and PSA should be performed every 6 months.
